i didn't do this in 2020 (& i was kicking myself)

I have so many thoughts I want to share with you now that we're into 2023 (I'm sure that Mars going direct in Gemini must have something to do with it since I'm Aries sun, moon, and rising!), but I want to start with something that can tangibly benefit you near-term.
Some of you know my 2020 story (anecdote?) re: airdrops. If the term ‘airdrop’ is unfamiliar, they're essentially free, surprise money sent to wallets that have ‘staked,’ aka provided liquidity, on decentralized finance platforms like Uniswap.
Uniswap was ~13 months old at the beginning of 2020, the first year we offered the Seeds Staking Bonus. Because staking is so mutually beneficial, we were encouraging the community to consider it by offering a generous reward.
For my part, I had staked what was (for me) a large amount….but I still had a bunch of SEEDS and ETH just chilling in a wallet, unstaked, and not for any real reason.
Then September rolls around…and (surprise!) one of the biggest airdrops in history is orchestrated by Uniswap itself. Everyone who had even attempted to use the platform - regardless of whether or not they failed - received at least 400 UNI. Within 5 months, 400 UNI was worth about $12,000 USD, though this would go up further before the price reached all-time highs.
But the airdrop was much larger if you actually had cryptocurrency staked on Uniswap's platform, and so all our SEEDS stakers benefited from this as well.
I was super grateful for the free money I received….but if I had taken 3 minutes to stake the rest of the SEEDS and ETH just chilling in my wallet, I would have received enough in this airdrop to buy a nice house. 🏠 For real.
