Help the SEEDS Mutual Aid Pool Grow - & Get Paid For Doing It 💗

Want to be a part of our mission to help others while simultaneously building abundance yourself? Consider becoming a Liqudity Provider (LP) in the SEEDS-ETH mutual aid pool on Uniswap.

LPing empowers us to help people out all around like world - like this community in South Sudan, who needed funds to pave the area around their water pump after UN Aid left them the opposite of high-and-dry.

We’ve been told that, in South Sudan, the government doesn’t issue women IDs, and they therefore can’t open bank accounts. But because we’re using DeFi, or decentralized finance tools, when we LP, we can help these women directly, sending funds they can access with their mobile phones, and therefore circumventing the gatekeepers who discriminate against them.

The <5 minute video below includes an LP demonstration. We’re also happy to answer any questions (best place to ask is in our Discord). 💗

When you LP, you earn fees from every transaction within the Seeds mutual aid pool. You also help to secure the value of SEEDS, because the more funds that are LP’d, the harder it is to make the SEEDS price significantly change.

  • The SEEDS-ETH pool is our mutual aid fund! Thus, it’s important that our community takes good care of it, nourishing it to help it grow.

  • While nothing in the world of money is without risk (for example, it’s important to avoid phishing attempts by making sure you only connect your wallet to legit websites), in addition to helping people in need through staking, you can receive benefits yourself in the form of staking bonuses, surprise airdrops (aka free money), and earned trading fees. As of this writing, earned trading fees may be small because the pool does not yet have a lot of volume, but airdrops and staking bonuses can be substantial.

  • It’s essential that you LP ‘new ETH’ - aka Ether that has never been in the pool before - because the goal is to help the pool to grow, and at the time of this writing, ETH is what it needs. Thus, swapping SEEDS to get ETH from our pool and then staking that ETH won’t count for the bonus, because it’s like moving the same ETH around in the pool.

  • You need both SEEDS and ETH in your self-custody wallet prior to staking.

  • You can choose to LP any amount of SEEDS that you’d like.

  • The amount of SEEDS and ETH you initially LP when creating your position will change, based on the trades happening. If trading goes outside of the range you initially chose, you’ll end up with either 100% ETH or 100% SEEDS. Therefore, it can help to keep your sight on the overall value of the position, as day-to-day it’ll shift. You can always remove your position and swap the ETH or SEEDS for other cryptocurrencies - or for fiat currencies like the US Dollar - if you choose.

  • As noted, it’s vital that you connect to the correct staking website to avoid potential phishing scams that can drain your wallet. Here’s the correct link to the SEEDS-ETH pool.
