as the american republic collapses, we gotta fund mutual aid

It’s late on a Friday night - Halloween - as I write this, and SNAP benefits are set to expire for 42 million Americans at midnight.

I’ve never been on SNAP, though I’ve been so poor that I was stealing foods from grocery stores - Whole Foods specifically, because male privilege like what Bezos experienced in tech was mostly why I was struggling. I figured it wouldn’t hurt Bezos any if I didn’t go hungry.

There aren’t really words to describe how devastating it is that those in power in the country where I live are willing this to happen to so many people who need to eat - that we have a hierarchical power structure that permits something like this in the first place.

Seeds is going to be raising funds for Americans who need food in the coming days - please stay tuned if you’d like to contribute. I’m spending a lot of time and energy thinking through and planning out how Seeds will evolve through this difficult time as well.

I’ve been depleted, and it’s shown through Seeds, and it makes sense - I think I’m playing out the energy that so many millions, perhaps billions of us are feeling right now. That the old system is past failing, that it is about taking. And it takes so much that it has drained me and Seeds itself.

But I felt I saw this time period coming, this dark hour before the dawn on a global scale. Astrologers and spiritualists have certainly been discussing it for years, sharing the idea that incarnating as a human at this moment in time was to be here for Ascension.

I’ve thought for many years now that Seeds will soar on the other side of this collapse, when that Ascension fully takes hold…but we have to keep putting one foot in front of the other until we get there. I’ve gotten tired at many moments in the long life of Seeds. Right now is one of those times - though I don’t think it’s the hardest. It’s all been training, so think we’re weathering this okay.

As a part of our plan to keep moving forward, to create a new revenue stream to sustain our mutual aid work, we created physical Seeds items and put them on sale on the site today, per the suggestion of Paul, who has been active in the Seeds community for a while now (appreciate you, Paul). I feel weird and flip calling it “merch,” but it is. 100% of the profits will go to sustaining Seeds mutual aid.

Check it out below, and grab something if you’d like to help the project out.

I’ll share more philosophical thoughts in coming blogs. 💗
