“The San Fernando Valley Refugee Children Center helps children fleeing violence in Central America get asylum in the United States. The Center has 213 children registered. The kids who have lawyers have an 80-90% chance of getting asylum; those with no lawyers have about a 20% chance.

When asylum is denied, they are sent back to Central America, their lives in danger. Right now San Fernando Valley Refugee Children Center has 10 children who have no legal representation. For $1,500, ‘low-bono’ legal services can be retained for one of those children, and a life can likely be saved.”
