“I'm at a crossroads in my life. After relocating from Chicago, IL to San Juan, Puerto Rico, the job I had been in for 15+ years disappeared. Unlike most small businesses, this one had been going 'strong' since 1997. However, it did not have the going-power to continue beyond July of 2023.

I am lucky to have a husband whose skills allowed him to find a better-paying job, but my lack of Spanish fluency and the fact that I am no longer living in the 'Continental United States' has made the job hunt very difficult.

I'm redeeming a SEED to pay for 1 year of online college courses as I work to expand my skills, and hopefully my employment opportunities. I will be requesting financial aide elsewhere to cover living expenses as well, but I've long been a fan of the SEEDS ideology & philosophy and believe education would be a highly valuable exchange.”
