“Hi, my fellow Seeds community members. I hope you are having a good day!

My name is Favour Garuba Aluko from the northern part of Nigeria. I come from a family where they don't value education for girls at all. They prefer to send the male to school.

They believe that women are only meant to work in their husband's house and bear them children, and the fact that the Westerners came to emphasize the importance of educating a female child didn't even change anything in the northern part of my country.

So I have been the one that has been sending myself to school ever since I was 6 years old.

I enrolled myself in a primary school with the aid of a man that helped register when he saw the passion I had for education. Afterward, I did part time and full time work sometimes to buy the necessary textbooks.

I have managed to finish my secondary education with no one to support me in my tertiary education. I have to look for a way to raise the funds to pay the tuition, transportation and meal costs ...AND I want to study medicine at university, but unfortunately I don't have any means or money to pay for all that. 🤦

You might be wondering how I came across this community. It’s a long story but am gonna brief it. I came across the Seeds community when I was doing some research about how to get help and get a free scholarship on Google and other social media sites like TikTok and Twitter. I want to make a Request for Help of $700 to cover these school fees.”
